great turkey taxidermy starts with you and the shot and how you handle the flopping Please be diligent about not shooting a bird strutting or stepping on his head while flopping. Grab him by the crown of his head while flopping and hold him until he is done so he doesn’t beat himself up. Be careful carrying him out of the woods and treat them with great care we generally cannot fix feathers that aren’t there anymore many customer show up here with a bag of feathers and that just isn’t how it works we offer replacement skins for 150 there are certain poses that will hide damage, for instance if the right side of a bird is damaged we could put him on a limb with that side facing the wall. Damage to the chest, are good options for flying or flushing mounts that will hide the chest. Damage to the feathers behind the head are good options for full strut mounts. Your pose often depends on the damage.
